Retailers don't provide any real after sales service for Win!
Buy the laptop you want and ditch the Windows. Yes you have been screwed ... however this is a bit like paying tax!
Suggest a Dell xps13 for which ample ubuntu support exists. My experience with this pc and 12.04lts has been great! !
