[ubuntu-za] Swapping hard drives

Good day all,
Some advice on desktop computers will be appreciated.
My Ubuntu 16.04 is running on a treasured 120 GB SSD, of which I utilise
just over 50%. The motherboard is an old Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2160
@1,80 GHz with 4 GB RAM.
I also have a Fujitsu Esprimo E5731 with a Pentium Dual Core CPU E5 700
@ 3,00 GHz and 8 GB RAM which my wife uses almost exclusively for
e-mails and Facebook. It currently dual-boots on Ubuntu 14.04 (40 GB
partition) of which 12,5 GB is used and the Windows 7 partition on a
little bit of the remaining 210 GB.
My thought was to put the SSD in the Fujitsu and the Fujitsu HDD in the
older machine, until I was advised that Windows Operating systems do not
like to be switched around. Not that I have much sympathy for the
Windows sentiments, although I would like to keep this legal
installation for those odd times when I may need it.
So will the Win 7 installation be unhappy enough in the older machine to
justify keeping me from the swap? I am quite interested to see the SSD
performance with a more powerful processor and 8 GB RAM!
Many thanks,
Jan
