Hi Jan.

I won't trust any version of the flash player and manage without it fine. Youtube has HTML5 video support. If you happen to use the chrome browser, it comes bundled with flash (it can be disabled by the user of course). finally there are a few flash alternatives available - https://tuxdiary.com/2015/03/07/flash-alternatives-linux/
