[ubuntu-za] Kernel panic

Thanks for the advice /links. Unfortunately I only have 1 kernel image so
trying older version not possible. Recovery mode give the same kernel panic
message as normal boot. I'm not sure where my older kernels have gone. I
normally keep 3 or 4.
I can edit grub using 'e'  but I'm not sure what to change.
Im running 15.10 from live CD and can access all my files
