Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: guake

Since updating various packages as part of the standard Ubuntu
recommendations, guake under Karmic has ceased to function. (Worked fine
under the initial Karmic install.)

Running guake results in the following behavior:
- python uses up >55% of the cpu, and >30% memory
- the guake terminal window, when opened flickers briefly, and instantly closes itself (the app itself stays running)

There is no output in the console.

Running:
Ubuntu 9.10
guake .4.0-4

** Affects: guake (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
