Also happens with the kid pix 3 disc, so much for that workaround :-)
There are too many files to copy and rename by hand.

mount -t iso9660 -o ro,joliet /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom
fails with "unrecognized option" or something like that.
dmesg | grep joliet shows
[ 1836.464112] udf: bad mount option "joliet" or missing value
(probably from when I did it without -t iso9660).
