[Bug 477478] [NEW] faxadduser doesn't write in hosts.hfaxd

Public bug reported:

The Hylafax package shipped with Ubuntu 9.10 freshly installed
(2:6.0.3-2ubuntu1) seems to have something broken with the hosts.hfaxd
file.

1) If I populate it manually (for example by putting 127.0.0.1 into it),
programs like faxstat ignore it and keep requesting a password.

2) If I run the command faxadduser (with or without arguments), then
hosts.hfaxd is emptied and nothing is written to it. No errors are
returned.

I can't find anything in the logs. I found the same report in a forum
from a user who upgraded his Ubuntu to 9.10.

** Affects: hylafax (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
