Just to make it clear, this is the problem:

root at intranet:/etc/hylafax# faxadduser -a pwd admin
root at intranet:/etc/hylafax# cat /etc/hylafax/hosts.hfaxd
root at intranet:/etc/hylafax# cat /var/spool/hylafax/etc/hosts.hfaxd
root at intranet:/etc/hylafax#
