Thanks Dan. I did try Opera a while back and liked the email with it.
Bit like Seamonkey which was a good suite years ago back in about 2005
when I used it. Then it was faster than Firefox. Only thing I found
with Opera was it is external to repositories and so Ubuntu do not
compile and assess it for release. Like Chrome it did not always work
for a particular release. Not being an IT pro I don't venture into
compiling - tried it and managed to get apps to work sometimes.

When there are dependencies that fail (or deprecated) apps outside
ubuntu repositories take longer to get sorted as the app provider does
not have specific distro knowledge. Epiphany and Midori I tried a
while ago but neither seemed to cope that well. KDE's Konqueror I
gather now has been deprecated. I've been a Xubuntu user since I tried
Linux in 2008.

One thing that can be said for Firefox is that the development team
are well established, seem to be able to cope well with technical
changes and challenges. I like something to work with no hassles and
so this time I will probably stay with Firefox.
