I am performing a clean install from a USB drive when this issue
happens, are the logs in /var/log persistent through reboots? If not, I
am unable to collect the logs for this issue as the computer completely
freezes and reboots. There is no opportunity to return to the live
environment.

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  When installing Ocelot on a Eeepc 1005HA, install always crashes on
  "Setting up keyboard-configuration". This will cause the Eeepc to
  either hang or reboot.

  Issue occurs on both regular and alternative desktop installations and
  when executing 'dpkg --configure -a' during a rescue boot.
