Title:
"objdump -i" provokes a BFD assertion fail
Status in “binutils” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: binutils
Package: binutils
Version: 2.20.51.20100813-1ubuntu3
If you type "objdump -i" the output includes an assertion failure:
cam-vm-266:maverick:qemu-0928$ objdump -i
BFD header file version (GNU Binutils for Ubuntu) 2.20.51-system.20100813
elf32-i386

[...]
plugin
(header little endian, data little endian)
BFD: BFD (GNU Binutils for Ubuntu) 2.20.51-system.20100813 assertion fail ../../bfd/plugin.c:441
objdump: plugin: Bad value

[...]
This also happens on karmic (binutils 2.20-0ubuntu2) so it's obviously
been around a while.
It doesn't seem to cause any obvious problems, it just looks a bit
unsightly :-)
