Thanks Sarunas .
It looks like these were the suspects:
* sddm (reinstall)
* kde-plasma-desktop (reinstall)
* kde-style-breeze (install)
And I had to remove this to get rid of the Soft Input Panel/Virtual
Keyboard. I installed it after I broke things:
* gtk3-engines-breeze
