how to set a team as a translation group

I've created the team "gallery-translators" but I can't seem to  
figure out how to set this as the translation group for Gallery. I've  
dug around for a while but there doesn't seem to be anything in  
either the Gallery or gallery-translators configuration pages to do  
what I would like to do. Is this hiding somewhere?

Also, there doesn't appear to be a way to remove someone from a team,  
only deactivate/activate. Is there a way to permanently delete a member?
