I think the general idea would be something along the lines of creating
a new database table and a form usable by all authenticated users to add
and remove links to a forum thread for a bug.
An XMLRPC interface for this would be nice too.
Then the forum people could use any approach they like to update the
information in launchpad bugs.
I'm not the one who would implement this, so I'd like to know what the
bug tracker developers think of it.
