I am not sure how your original posts were listed as spam as I am
co-moderator of the list with Corey. I take the time to go through each of
the more than 40 "spam" messages that come in on a daily basis to check for
things that Spam Assassin missed but many times the message itself is not
clear, even as such my Gmail filter picks up about half of what is real mail
from the list as spam so no matter how closely you watch for the feed from
the chaff some still gets through.
On to the topic of using GnuCash I can honestly say that it is an amazing
program that does all that Quickbooks can do and more. The main difference
that I have found is that your choices are at the front end when you set up
your account instead of after you have already setup the basics. I like
this because I track both our family expenses and my tech support business
through this program.
I have found that once you wrap your head around the dizzying array of
choices for setting up the account, daily maintenance has made tracking
finances less frustrating and far from the absolute boredom that Accounting
class was.
