Lost my 1024x768 screen resolution

OK, so I need the "NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version 177)".

How can I apt-get that using the terminal?

(My current display is too large to allow me to select the desired driver using the graphical display: the button is too far down, below the bottom of my screen!)
