20.04 not get login prompt - have to hit ALT F2

Hello - It says

SeaBIOS (version xxxx)
Machine UUID xxxx

iPXE http etc...

Booting from hard disk
/dev/vda5 Clean.


I then removed "quite splash" from the /etc/default/grub
ran grub-update
rebooted and I got a login on the main F1.
So thanks for the suggestion.
